The Orania Restaurant

The Orania "Oewer" Restaurant is a great attraction for visitors to Orania. Our beautiful restaurant is situated on the banks of the Orange River and offers a large shaded deck between indigenous trees where visitors can relax.

The restaurant is famous for its Afrikaner-cuisine, delicious Karoo lamb chops, steaks, seafood, salads and other traditional Afrikaner dishes. A selection of Cape estate and cooperative cellar wines are also available.

The restaurant has a cozy bar and a big screen where guests can watch sport and enjoy a hearty Afrikaner atmosphere.

During winter months the restaurant is home to Orania's own winter market. This is a splendid experience that allows visitors to see and taste some of Orania's hand made specialities beside the camp fire.

Mondays: Breakfast (08:00 to 10:00) and dinner from 18:00 to late.

Tuesdays to Saturdays: Breakfast (08:00 to 10:00), lunch (12:00 to 14:00) and dinner (18:00 to late).

Sundays: CLOSED. See Karoo Keur Koffieteria below.

Karoo Keur Koffieteria

On Sundays meals are served at the Karoo Keur Koffieteria, located on the opposite corner of the Oewer Restaurant in Orania.

Breakfast is served from 08:00 until 10:00. Light meals served for the rest of the day until 17:00. Karoo Keur Koffieteria prides itself in using mainly local produce to create their dishes.
